Whitelisting/allowing emails sent by Viima's app
Whitelisting/allowing emails sent by Viima's app
Updated over a week ago

If email messages sent by Viima's app are not being received by your participants/users, then there is a high likelihood that they are being classified as spam. In order to resolve this, you need to ask your IT department to whitelist/allow email delivery from these two domains:

  • viima.com

  • ses-email.viima.com

Background on why the emails sometimes get classified as spam:

Often times when Viima is taken into use in a new organization, there are a lot of activities taking place in the app. Many of these activities result in a notification email being sent by Viima's app to the user. For instance when Mary comments on Jack's idea, then Jack gets an email about this to keep him informed.

Now, when a lot of emails suddenly start to be sent to recipients from a single domain, then the email spam filters are quick to jump to conclusions and classify the sender as a spammer. This issue can be mitigated by whitelisting the domains listed above.

Our customers can also choose which events result in a notification email being sent to users as well as customize the content (incl. language) of those messages. These settings are adjusted per board and can be found in Viima's admin portal.
