How to create a new board

A Viima board is the “canvas” where all the ideation in Viima happens in. An organization may have just one board to gather, store and develop the ideas or use multiple Viima boards to manage and organize more versatile ideation activities. The following will guide you through the steps to create a new Viima board.

P.S. To be able to complete the following steps, you’ll need to have an admin account. Please contact your Viima super user for access if you don’t already have an account. Once you've secured this, you need to navigate to the Organization Dashboard of your Viima account which can be found by clicking on the All Boards selection in the top left-hand corner menu in the bubble or admin user interfaces.

There are two ways to create a new Viima board:

Step 1:

“Create a new board”

Select the “Create a new board” icon next to an existing board on your organization's dashboard. Alternatively, you can also click the green "New board" button on the top right corner of your organization dashboard.

In both cases, a new “Create a new board” window will open. Next, you can choose a default use case for the board, name the new board and customize the board’s URL.

Here you have two options:

  1. Use a board template from our existing list, associated with different use cases. You may also choose a blank board named “Tabula rasa” without any predefined ideas and category examples.

Finally, by clicking the green "CREATE" button on the lower right corner a new Viima board will be created. The new board can be accessed from your organization dashboard.
