Sharing can be used to increase the visibility of the ideas on your board. By using various channels to share your ideas, you increase the chance of relevant people taking notice of your ideas and the board in general. This is especially good for use cases such as open innovation and open idea challenges.
P.S. To be able to complete the following steps, you’ll need to have an admin account for the desired Viima board. Please contact your Viima super user for access if you don’t already have an account.
How to get there
If you already know your board name, the easiest way to manage sharing options is through the following URL:
https://app.viima.com/admin/organization-name/board-name/#settings/features
If you do this, proceed directly to Step 3. Otherwise, start from Step 1.
What to change
Now you should have the view from Step 4 open.
This feature can be activated by turning on the "Enable sharing" toggle switch.
We currently have 6 channels which you can freely set depending on the use case of your board:
Facebook
Twitter
LinkedIn
Email
Yammer
Microsoft Teams
The more channels you have active, the better the visibility of your board and its ideas. Each channel can be separately activated by marking the checkbox next to its name.
Url to share
This is the URL that your shared link will redirect to. By leaving his field empty, the link will automatically direct to the shared idea itself. If you set a URL to share, the links will always point to the URL you chose, not the idea itself.
This is usually not recommended but can be desirable if you have embedded Viima on another web page and would rather have the user visit that as opposed to Viima directly.
Predefined share text
This is the text that will be always included in your shares.
Don't forget to save your changes!
Green "Save" buttons can be found on all pages where changes can be made. Clicking this activates those changes.
