Agile Board

Updated this week

What is an Agile Board?

An Agile Board is a visual and collaborative space used by teams to manage their work in a transparent, iterative, and highly flexible way. It helps structure workflows using Agile principles, allowing teams to break down tasks, track progress, and continuously deliver value.

Whether you're using Scrum, Kanban, or a hybrid approach, the Agile Board serves as your team’s single source of truth—making it easier to stay aligned, adapt to change, and keep work flowing efficiently.

When to Choose an Agile Board?

An Agile Board is ideal when your team:

  • Works in short iterations (sprints or continuous flow).

  • Needs to track progress and surface blockers in real time.

  • Wants to increase transparency and collaboration across roles.

  • Aims to prioritize work dynamically based on changing needs.

From product development and operations to marketing and customer support, the Agile Board brings structure and visibility to any fast-moving team.

When to Try Another Use Case?

If you're focusing on idea collection or seeking solutions for specific business challenges, consider exploring Idea Challenges. For initiatives that involve broader strategic transformation or long-term planning, Innovation Management may be a better fit.

What Does It Mean for the HYPE Board?

Access Controls

The Agile Board has been configured with the following access settings to ensure appropriate collaboration:

  • Access is limited to listed users and those from approved email domains.

    • Make sure to list the allowed domains relevant to the board's audience from the board's Access rights section

  • Only users authenticated via Office 365, Google, or Viima from the allowed domains can log in.

  • Interactions such as commenting, liking, or adding new items require login—ensuring accountability and clarity on contributions.

Sharing Options

To foster open collaboration, email and Viva Engage sharing options are enabled. These are especially useful for keeping everyone informed and involved without disrupting workflows.

Categories & Statuses

The Agile Board follows a simple yet effective process flow with the following statuses:

  • Backlog – This is where ideas, tasks, and user stories live before commitment. Keep it organized and prioritized so your team focuses on the most important work.

  • In Progress – Items currently being worked on. This stage promotes clarity on who’s doing what and helps surface blockers early.

  • Review – A holding area for peer reviews, testing, or stakeholder feedback. Use this to ensure quality and alignment before moving to completion.

  • Done – The finish line. Track completed items, celebrate milestones, and prepare for the next cycle.

We recommend you to tailor the categories to your teams' needs and the topic relevant to the Agile Board. You can find instructions on how to configure categories in this article

Working Together, Iterating Better

The Agile Board is more than just a tracking tool—it's a collaborative workspace where your team shares responsibility, communicates openly, and adapts quickly. By visualizing ideas and their lifecycle transparently, your team can co-create and deliver with greater confidence.
