What is Collaborative Strategy Process?

The collaborative Strategy Process refers to engaging your organization to be a part of your strategy work, either in formulating or implementing it. Since it is the employees who make the company, it is essential that their opinions are heard when it comes to defining what the organization is, what it does, and why. A good, interactive communication channel is a prerequisite for success in a collaborative strategy process.

When should I choose Collaborative Strategy Process?

The collaborative Strategy Process is perfect when you need your entire staff (or select key members of it) to collaboratively participate in formulating or implementing your company strategy. It’s an excellent way to engage your employees to be a part of choosing your new direction, which energizes and informs them, further enabling them to better act on it.

When to try another use case?

Briefly put it's only worth choosing this use case if you're intending to work on your strategy.

What does it mean for the Viima board?

Access controls

For the Collaborative Strategy Process, we've specified the access rights on your board to "Allow listed users and users with an email from the following domains." This means that only people who have been manually added to the list of users or have an account from the domain(s) you have specified can access your board.

From the login options, we've disabled all authentication methods except for Viima, Office 365, and Google. This means that by default your board can only be accessed with a Viima, Office 365, or Google account. We recommend you disable all login methods you aren't using to prevent unnecessary confusion for users.

From user restrictions, we have made it so that only those who have logged in can like, comment, or add new ideas.

Sharing options

From the sharing options, we've enabled only email. While enabling other options would still keep your data confidential, this is done to keep things simple and encourage communication only between authorized personnel.

Categories & Statuses

We have set example categories and statuses for what your ideation process in Collaborative Strategy Process could look like. However, these are only templates, and as such we recommend you take the time to create your own process and model that by using categories and statuses.
